While in Cleveland this past weekend, I met up with some friends at Sweet Melissa’s in Rocky River. Upon arrival, my cousin Sarah and I noticed where our friends were already seated, in this raised long table, that literally looked like we were all going to be on a panel, waiting for people to start asking us questions! It was kinda funny, but a GREAT eatery. I had some ooey-gooey 5 cheese mac-n-cheese with some fresh cut fries (I’m so healthy). It was fun to catch up and laugh about silly things.

So recently, another dream of mine came true, I got to go to the NKOTB concert! Yes, I did. Some friends and I met at the Hard Rock downtown Cleveland and ate while in a sea of Estrogen getting ready for the New Kids on the Block concert. It was a sold out performance at the Quicken Loans Arena and Natasha Bedingfield opened up for them, which was AWESOME. She’s engaged to an Ohio Native! I can’t even explain how awesome it was. I never go to the to their concert back in the day when I was like 9 or 10…they broke up when I was 14. I remember the bumper stickers I had on my bedroom wall, mom wasn’t too happy when I took some paint off my wall after tearing them down. There was a time, where I really thought Joey and I were going to be lovers. I didn’t have any paraphernalia but was amazed at how many authentic shirts, buttons, and posters were at the concert! I took an uber amount of photos…for the whole set, click here

As mentioned in a previous post, I love visitors! I would be remiss if I didn’t mention my favorite monthly visitor, my BFF Kerrie!!!! She and I are kindred spirits and were really brought together by two things. 1. Cleveland Institute 2. Our mutual Friend Lauren (I knew Lauren at BYU and Kerrie met her while in Americorps in South Carolina {at the time Kerrie and I did not know each other existed}). We get to have her on weekends when shes works at the Temple

I am blessed to have an extra monthly reminder of my responsibility to go to the temple. She’s a great example of faith and love for the temple as she drives 250 miles sometimes twice in a month to work in the Lord’s house. She pretty much rocks.

Here’s us in a Gap dressing room telling Greta to get those jeans! (her bum looked really good in them!)

The other day I was talking with someone and I was telling them how I wished there were a pill that I could just take everyday that would make me not compare myself, worry, or “wish” certain things were different (like my body, blah blah). She laughed and thought that was a very good idea and told me to prescribe myself a Rx of contentment (a vitamin if you will). So I will start taking these daily. Overall I am VERY content with my life, which is filled with love and happiness. However, I think having a daily reminder of the contenetment I think I will be able to remember, life is good.

Today was James’ first day of school. His third quarter! I can’t believe how fast it’s gone, and keeping my fingers crossed the pace stays that same! James is taking a full load of classes, and working part time on campus. We lucked out with that job, it works around his schedule and he never has to work nights/weekends! He’s excited about his classes, one of which has 700 students!! I remember when I took at class at Rick’s College and there were like 15 of us! I am thankful he is going to school to learn things that I know I’ll never be able to comprehend (like Trig and advanced Japanese), so that he can provide for his family (i.e. me, ha ha). I’m pretty sure if I had to do a math test today the administrator would be like “Um yeah…we’re going to have you take the 3rd grade math test instead.” Some days I wish I was a student again, I LOVED “student” life, the friends, all the socializing, the clubs, the dances, oh yeah and the classes. Part of me wants to re-create that for James but when I talk about going to a dance or something school related (after classes) I think he pretends he can’t hear me. *sigh* at least we have OSU football

Here’s a sample James’ books he’s gotten so far:

I think we’ll start a new tradition, at the end of every “first day” of school we’ll have one of these:

Wish you could look in the mirror and say “wow I am a babe” without laughing?
Wish you could not worry about things that you have no control over for maybe oh, an hour?
Want to go up to someone who looks like they’re having a bad day and just give them a hug?
Want to go back in time and change how something went?
Feel like you’re so busy, but you’re not really doing anything?
Forget your Best Friend’s Birthday, but remember that Jessica Simpson is a Leo? (I dunno, is she?)
Want to buy a lottery ticket JUST in case?
Want to laugh SO loud at a boring part of a movie in a theater to see what the person behind you would do?
Want to plan your wedding all over again?
Dream about a 2 week vacation that someone else paid for?

Random thoughts that were going through my head today. Do you ever?
