I stalk you, just so you’re aware! I come from a family in your profession and that piece of paper is unfortunately the ticket. The state is SO strict about it that while it stinks that you have to wait for the piece of paper, they are just covering their hind quarters….but I am POSITIVE that once you have that piece of paper you are going to have your choice of where to work. BTW, I really like the look of your blog!

Darn that piece of paper!!! Only one month, though, and it will be yours. Then everyone will be fighting over you!! Are you able to do anything from home on a referral basis while you are waiting? Or do you have to have that dumb piece of paper? Maybe you could have a huge clientel before even being licensed, and then be too busy to actually have time to drive to a salon, and be ‘forced’ to work from home

I’m sorry!! That is really tough. I felt like that right after my student teaching. I thought I should be so proud of myself for graduating and finally finishing that, until I could not find a job to save my life. No one would even consider me because I wasn’t licensed at the time of applications either. Keep me posted; I want to hear when you get the job!
